Texas Image Library

Texas Image Library is a free collection of real photographs of Texas communities, built for the people who market them. Economic development staff spend their days telling site selectors that their community is worth a visit. The photos on this site are what that visit looks like.

Every image was shot on location by a photographer standing in that town: the industrial park with the rail spur, the highway at sunset, the downtown on a Friday, the people who run the businesses. No stock, no AI, no place that does not exist.

What is Texas Image Library?

Texas Image Library (TIL) is a free library of authentic, high-resolution photographs of Texas communities, made for economic development organizations. Every image is shot on location in a real Texas city or county. Nothing is generated and nothing is generic stock.

Are the photos free?

Yes. Every photo in the library is free to download at full resolution for economic development organizations, chambers, and the communities they serve. No subscription, no per-image fee.

Who can use the images?

Economic development corporations, economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, cities, counties, and the agencies and vendors working on their behalf. If you are promoting a Texas community, the library is for you.

What can I use the photos for?

EDC websites, RFI and RFP responses, site selector packages, presentations, brochures, social media, and press. Anything that markets a Texas community or region to businesses, site selectors, and residents.

Why real photos instead of stock or AI images?

Site selectors are evaluating a specific place. A photo of a real Texas site, road, employer, or downtown is evidence. A stock image or an AI rendering proves nothing about your community and is easy to spot. Real photography is also original content, which search engines and AI answer engines favor over images that appear on hundreds of sites.

Where are the photos from?

Across Texas. The library is organized by region, county, and city, and it grows as new communities are photographed. Each photo page lists where it was taken.

Who takes the photos?

Texas Image Library is produced by VIKING, a Texas agency that builds websites and cinematic video exclusively for economic development organizations. The photographs come from real shoots in real communities.

Usage terms

Photos marked free may be downloaded and used by economic development organizations, chambers, cities, counties, and the agencies working for them, in any material that promotes a Texas community: websites, RFI responses, presentations, print, and social media. Credit to Texas Image Library is appreciated but not required.
